Quality
Assurance
Louisiana Steel believes in eliminating problems
before they occur. Our products undergo numerous inspections
throughout the manufacturing process. We provide chemical
analysis per ASTM A751 and mechanical testing to ASTM
A370. In addition to yield, tensile and elongation testing,
we offer an array of mechanical tests including Rockwell
hardness, Brinnel hardness and Charpy Impact testing.
We can handle any special testing needs you may have.
From the time it hits Louisiana Steel to the time
it leaves us, complete traceability is maintained
on all products manufactured. The Quality Assurance
Department maintains records from all tests performed.
Complete mill test reports showing the result of
these tests are available to all customers. |
Coating: An
array of coatings can be applied prior to shipment.

 Shot
Blasting: Clean tubes are an essential
element in the manufacture of cold drawn tubes.
Louisiana Steel uses state of the art shot blasting
equipment to clean all of our tubing products,
during the manufacturing process and prior to
shipment.

Steel can cut your order to length if you wish.
We have the latest, most sophisticated production
saw cutting equipment in the industry.

 Heat-Treating:
Louisiana Steel boasts of having two of the larger
continuous fed gas fired heat treat ovens in the
Mid West. Heat-treating is a very important process
in the manufacture of cold drawn tubes. Our ovens
have quench and temper capabilities
enabling us to manufacture a myriad of high strength
products. These ovens are also utilized for annealing
and normalizing. Whatever your heat-treating
demands are, Louisiana Steel can deliver. |
 Fabrication: Louisiana
Steel believes in giving their customers what they
want. We offer a range of fabrication services to
our customers, including welding, cutting, slotting,
